The School Council hopes everyone had a wonderful holiday season. Classes resume January 5th and we’re ready to jump into 2015 with both feet.
Check out our year in review photos. We’d love to have more pictures of the school events, so if you chaperone a trip and get some shots without any faces please send them our way

Did you know that Earl Haig is an Eco-Platinum school? Our Eco Eagles, make sure we are doing all we can to help our planet – even waste audits are a necessary evil for this group of committed students.
A reminder from our Eco-Eagles: we are collecting used reading glasses, old cell phones and used batteries. Send them in anytime.
The Lunch Program is at Risk!
The most pressing item this term is the school lunch programme. If your child(ren) are registered in the Lunch Program please be reminded that it costs $2.50/lunch per student. This averages out to $50/month per student. Please try to pay by the first week of every month.
This incredible program provides a hot lunch for a very small fee to all students at Earl Haig who are registered for the lunch meal. Unfortunately, the program runs on a shoestring budget, and relies heavily on parent contributions as well as the monthly fee and we are struggling to make ends meet. Anyone can donate to support this wonderful and much needed program.
For those of you who send your child with a bagged lunch, but wish your child to receive white or chocolate milk, please be advised that there is a cost of 50¢/milk. This averages out to $10/month.
All cheques should be made out to the Toronto Foundation for Student Success.
