Donate your gently used books, games and art supplies to the school – November 14th to November 18th!

Donations are greatly needed to entertain the students on rainy/cold days during recess (so games need to be played within 30 minutes), and for teacher’s classrooms.

Please drop-off your age-appropriate books, games and/or art supplies outside the school office. Your help in making this much needed initiative a success is greatly appreciated… especially by the students!

Come join your school council representatives and other parents at our next meeting this coming Tuesday November 15th at 7pm in the Music Room in the basement. For those of you with little ones free childcare is provided.

Learn about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, updates from our Principal, and share any ideas or suggestions you have. Feel free to send any questions you have for Principal McLachlan in advance of the meeting using this form and he’ll do his best to address them.

Pumpkin Patch! The first Earl Haig fundraiser of the year is almost here! Watch the FDK playground transform into a pumpkin patch before your very eyes. Join us in the FDK playground on October 26 from 7:30 a.m. onward to purchase a pumpkin for your home. Honey and baked goods will also be available plus delicious sweet oh so necessary free coffee. Pumpkins are $6 each and can be left in the FDK yard labelled with your name for you to transport home at the end of the day.

We need bakers! Please donate a breakfast type baked good (muffins, scones, quick breads – No nuts) on the morning of the sale or the day before to the office. Movie Night! Last year was the first year we had regular movie nights and the critics gave the evenings two thumbs up. Friday October 28, doors open at 6, movie starts at 6:30. The movie is free, suggested donation of $2/person. What’s a movie without popcorn? Snacks are available! See the poster for details.
