Congrats to our grade 8 grads

Our newest Earl Haig alumni graduated earlier this week and celebrated with an after party at Danforth Bowl – congratulations and best of luck on the next chapter in your education!

Hooray for Play EH!

PlayEh-GoalMet-Tree

Congratulations Earl Haig PS!  You set a goal to better your playground and you reached that goal!  In 7 months you raised $81,000 through a Dance-a-Thon, Pizza Days, Bottle Drive, Bake sales, Music Night Out, Online Auction, Spring Fair, and Freezie Fridays!  Everyone stepped up in the final ask of “$20 for 2020” which pushed us over the finish line! We shared high fives and cheers with students at the year end recognition assembly when we acknowledged their contribution to this goal.

A BIG thank you to everyone who donated and volunteered time to make this happen. We will keep you posted when we hear a ground breaking date in 2020. Happy Summer from your Play EH Team.

Thank YOU for a great year

We would like to extend a huge thank you to our fantastic community of parents and caregivers for your service to the school and the students. We had an unprecedented year of fundraising with our eyes set on the Play EH! playground revitalization and you all came through in a big way.

From pizza at Curriculum Night, to the Pumpkin Patch, to Movie Night, and Food Around the World (and more!), we relied on our amazing community to donate time and/or dollars for our family events and fundraising efforts and you all made it happen.

And speaking of BIG… we are thrilled to share the final tally from our supersized and super fun Spring Festival: our volunteers, sponsors, families, neighbours, and school community came together to raise more than $20,500! We couldn’t be more thrilled! 100% of the money raised will go towards school initiatives and Play EH. Thank you!

See you in September

School starts back up when the bell rings at 8:55 AM on Tuesday, September 3rd.

To parents/caregivers of our incoming Kindie kids: look for your child’s teacher outside of the Kindergarten wing (on the north-east side of the school) before the bell on the first day for students to line up with their class. And, welcome to Earl Haig – we look forward to having you be a part of our school community!

Have a wonderful and safe summer, everyone! See you in September!
