We’ve had some questions about how the Outerwear Library will work and thought we’d share some more info on that — as well as a plea for more contributions! Our donation week wraps up tomorrow and we are still low on items.

Donations won’t be accepted after this week so that all contributions can be left untouched for 7 days to minimize any risk of Covid-19 transmission. After that, all items will be sorted and brought to the Music Room and arranged for easy handling and left untouched for another 7 days. Once the Outerwear Lending Library is in operation, teachers will be able to access it from an exterior door as needed.

Items from the Lending Library can be borrowed for the short-term or indefinitely. Any items returned back to the Lending Library should be washed and bagged and will be isolated for 7 days before put back into circulation.

Now comes the ask…. do you have any new or gently used (and CLEAN) items that you can donate? We are really hoping to have a good selection of items and sizes to ensure none of our Earl Haig students are left cold or wet during outdoor learning. Please drop donations off to the front door of 89 Hanson Street by the end of this week. ** Larger sizes (grades 3-8) are most needed **

For any families that would like to make use of our (free!) Outerwear Lending Library, please email us or contact Acting Principal Upeslacis or Vice Principal Landry.
