Update your calendars!!!  Due to the continued forecast for rain this Thursday, our Spring Festival has been rescheduled for NEXT Thursday June 1st from 3:30pm – 7pm.
We look forward to seeing you (and the sunshine) then!

We hope everyone enjoys some well deserved R&R this long weekend! Here are a few short updates on happenings at Earl Haig:

Bike to school week – Bike to School Week is the week of May 29th. If you did not already see the post, here is a link (dates also corrected as there was a typo!)

Earl Haig Community Festival – We are all looking forward to this coming Thursday for our community festival. We’re still accepting donations of kids gift jars, adult bag a bottles, cakes and other baked treats. And there is still lots of help needed for volunteers on the day of. We’ve added a few more spots early in the day to help pop popcorn and spin cotton candy if that better suits your schedule. Sign up to volunteer here – and why not make volunteering a family event? Man a station along with your kids – help out and have fun too!

Baby items needed – The school is coordinating a collection of goods and funds to help support a family in our community that recently welcomed a new arrival.  If you have baby items to contribute please bring them to the main office. Items needed include a crib/sheets, blankets, clothing, washcloths, jolly jumper, bassinet, bouncy chair, and car seat. Gifts of funds (in the form of gift cards) also welcome and will be used towards the purchase of items for the family.

If you haven’t yet had a chance to volunteer for a school council organized event this is your chance! 

No pre-meetings necessary – just show up ready to man a game station, paint some faces, sell some tickets or BBQ!
