Unfortunately, the extreme cold temperatures are going to get the better of us. At -22 feeling like -35 degrees, it would be irresponsible to ask our good people to stand outside and sort bottles for 4 hours tomorrow.
SO: please consider bringing your bottles back as planned, tomorrow or another day, and saving the donation for the school. We will put a donation jar in the school office.
Apologies, but as we know, Mother Nature is a tough beast.
Stay warm and enjoy your weekend. School starts again Monday!
A Big Hullabaloo Thank You!
The tally is in for our Holiday Hullabaloo earlier this month: we raised over $11,000! And we had a great time doing it!
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the fabulous evening. And a big thank you to the dedicated team of volunteers, especially Chris and Steph Little, who put on a tremendous event.
Just a reminder that that money goes toward funding classroom enrichment materials for teachers, and things such as busses for trips, technology, and, hopefully, maybe, (pending a vote, of course) a better PA system… We’ll have that discussion in January.
We are all set for the Earl Haig School Council Holiday Hullabaloo tomorrow night. Come raise a glass with fellow “classmates” and enjoy great appetizers and entertainment.
We also have a fantastic line up of silent auction items for bidding on to help you check off some holiday gift buying or to keep for yourself (we promise we won’t tell!). You can see the full list of items here.
If you still need tickets, don’t worry! They can be bought for $20 at the door tomorrow night at the Royal Canadian Legion, 243 Coxwell Avenue (doors open at 7:30pm).
Hope to see you there!
